The Teaching and Technology Interdisciplinary Workshop (TTIW) supports interdisciplinary conversation about the pedagogical, research, and ethical issues raised by integrating technology into teaching. Graduate students across disciplines are responsible for teaching and using technology in increasingly sophisticated ways, and the TTIW is designed to connect faculty and students across disciplines who share an interest in exploring the practical and scholarly aspects of combining technology and teaching.
The mission of the TTIW is threefold:
- To create a supportive interdisciplinary space in which faculty and graduate students engaged in teaching with and research on technology in the classroom can meet colleagues, share their work, and access the group’s collective knowledge and resources.
- To provide opportunities for faculty and students to discuss the research implications of integrating technology into teaching practices across different disciplines.
- To explore the ethical issues surrounding student (and scholarly) work in an age of digital distribution
